Date Night; White House Style

Last weekend, we all know that THE GREAT OBAMA and the OBAMA MAMA had a “Date Night” in New York City.  They went there in spite of the fact he criticized auto executives for using their private planes to travel to Washington D.C for senate hearings to ask for a government loan.  They went there in spite of the fact that he has said we are in a major “economic crisis” in the country.  They went there in spite of the fact that this country has just added “One Trillion” dollars to the national debt.  Well, here is a little video to commemorate their “Date Night” to New York City:

Let’s not forget the national scene

In the debate on Sunday, a question was asked of both Christie and Lonegan; that being “Would it be better if the governor of New Jersey was a democrat, so it would be easier to get more “Stimulus money”?  Although I think that Steve gave the better answer, I will give Christie credit for saying that was a really stupid idea. 

The reason I bring this issue up is that in my email today, this little video showed up.  Enjoy!

I sent an  email to this idiot Menendez telling him that I  did not support the DREAM ACT.  This is what the idiot sent back:

Thank you for contacting me to express your support for the DREAM Act.  Your opinion is very important to me, and I appreciate the opportunity to respond to you on this important issue.

 

You will be pleased to know that I am a strong cosponsor of the DREAM Act and am fighting tirelessly to enact this critical legislation into law.  As the first person in my family to attend college, I can personally attest to the vital importance of a quality education.  The DREAM Act, would give countless innocent children the same opportunity I had – to fully reach their potential and fulfill the American Dream.  In doing so, it will give our country thousands of new doctors, and teachers, and pilots, and servicemen.  It is a win-win situation for both those who would directly benefit from this legislation, as well as our country as a whole.

 

Those that oppose the DREAM Act believe that children should pay the consequences for their parents’ mistakes.  They believe that children who were brought to this country by their parents without the proper documentation or were kept in this country by their parents without the proper documentation should not be allowed to get an American education.  That is not only wrong – it goes against who we are and what we stand for.

 

I am disappointed that the Senate failed to pass the DREAM Act this past October.  You may rest assured I will continue to fight until every child in the United States has the opportunity to reach the American Dream.  Anything less is simply un-American.

More folks are starting to agree with me on Chris Christie

Back on April 4th, I wrote a post about Chris Christie and his little problem with no-bid contracts.  Well, today the Star Ledger has an editorial on the same subject.  Guess what guys?  Yup, they agreed with me, completely!  But, don’t take my word for it, read the editorial yourself:

Chris Christie and Janet Napolitano, two peas in a pod!

A little over a year ago, Chris Christie shocked many conservative republicans when he said, “Being in this country without proper documentation is not a crime.”   Further, Christie also said, “Don’t let people make you believe that that’s a crime that the U.S. Attorney’s Office should be doing something about,” he added of entering the country illegally, “It is not.”

Well, a few days ago, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said while being interviewed on CNN; “And yes, when we find illegal workers, yes, appropriate action, some of which is criminal, most of that is civil, because crossing the border is not a crime per se. It is civil. But anyway, going after those as well.”   Yes kids, the ultra-liberal, Janet Napolitano and Chris Christie agree, being an illegal immigrant is not a crime!   Chris Christie has shown his true political beliefs and they sure do run on the liberal side.

But, just to clear things up, they are both wrong!  The fact is, crossing the border without authorization is a crime. The statute reads: “Any alien who enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers . . . shall, for the first commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both.”

So, now we are starting to find out who the real Chris Christie is.  It sure seems that he has a lot more in common with the liberal side of politics than the conservative side.  But, I want him and all of the other liberals to remember this, “IT’S TAXES, STUPID!”
