Conservative comments on New Jersey

A True Judas, Mike Halfacre

Mayor Mike Halfacre of Fair Haven, NJ, a small piss ant community in Monmouth County, today came out and endorsed Chris “Cupcake” Christie for the Republican nominationfor governor.  This in spite of his claim to be a Steve Lonegan supporter.  His excuse is that Steve is not “electable”.  Most likely this change of position has more to do with his rumored run for the US House of Representatives in 2010, than any true belief that the Cupcake is deserving of the nomination.  The following is my response to Halfacre’s endorsement statement:

Mike Halfacre, paraphrasing a line made famous by Lloyd Bentsen, “I knew Ronald Reagan, and sir, Chris Christie is no Ronald Reagan”.  Ronald Reagan was a man of principle, which you have proven, in this statement to be devoid of.  Conservatives might disagree on execution, but never do they compromise on principle.

Let’s set a few facts straight, the Republican Party in New Jerseyis infested with RINOs.  One only has to look at the past three republican governors of this state to see what the leadership of the party considers “worthy” candidates.  But, when the first time in forty (40) year the party could have tried to elect a true conservative, we saw exactly how the leadership of the party responded in 2001.  Rather than closing around and devoting all possible resources to insuring the election of Bret D. Schundler, the leadership chooses to take their ball and go home.  What an outstanding example of “rallying the party”.

Chris Christie’s positions in 1994 very much have to be considered in determining if he is worthy of being the candidate for governor, of the Republican Party.  What should we judge his character on sir?  His history of be a candidate in this state is in the time period of 1994 in which case his party affiliation was one of convenience not principle. Judging him based on his past history, instead of trying to compare him to Ronald Reagan, a comparison to New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg would be more appropriate.

A fair amount of your endorsement statement covers the “positions” that Chris Christie has taken on the issues.  The common word on all of the issues is promise.  Sir, my I ask a question, where is the word accomplished? Except for his accomplishments in the area of corruption, he does not have any accomplishments in the areas you mention.

In the one area that he has accomplishments, corruption, he is a very qualified prosecutor, but sir, how does this qualify him for governor?  Unless he plans to directly control the Office of the Attorney General of the state, it does not really matter. As far as crime fighting, since he was a federal prosecutor, we have to evaluate his enforcement of the laws at a federal level.  Let’s start with illegal immigration.  Christie had one of the poorest records on prosecution of illegal immigrants; between 2002 and 2007, Mr. Christie’s office caught and deported all of 13 illegal immigrants.  This record can only be called abysmal.  In a state where it has been conservatively estimated that 500,000 illegal immigrants reside (6% of the current population of the state), he could only find 13?   In a state were we have cities declaring that they are “sanctuary” cities.

How about his record on the civil rights?  How about his record on the first amendment?  How about defending citizens who are peacefully protesting their governments’ proposals as the constitution of this great country guarantees?  I think you know where I am heading with this, so I will go no further except to say Christie’s silence spoke volumes on the subject.

One thing that a person can never have enough of sir is principles.  Once one starts to compromise on them, one will always find it very easy to just say; “Just this one time”.  Soon this attitude becomes, “we had to do it this way”.  Finally we wind up with the classic, “it was all we could do”.  No, this is why one can never steer from the true path of ones convictions.  The argument that “it is the reality of winning elections” is not just lame, but shows how the Republican Party is not raising to the challenge of this election in the belief it can offer the citizens a better government, but lowering itself to the level of the opposition in the hopes it can at least meet the mediocrity of the Democratic Party.  What a sorry excuse for favoring one candidate over another.

Steve Lonegan has been the only voice in the New Jersey Republican Party that has over the last eight years maintained the high principles of conservative reason that Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater held so dear.  He never compromised on those principles in his many confrontations with those politicians who wished to impose their “ideals” on the citizens of this state.  It was also very convenient for most of the elected leadership of the Republican Party in the state to coattail themselves to his leadership.  His victories against the current governor of this state reflect the fact that people will back him.  This is obviously a fact that both you and leadership of the party have either overlooked or are afraid of.  The old, “damn he was right, and we were wrong”!

In conclusion, winning with Chris Christie will not be winning; it will be nothing more than another compromise.  As far as you being a “Lonegan Shill”, don’t worry about it, we won’t pin that label on you anymore, promise.  Of course, in reflection, the name Judas does have a nice ring.

The second coming of Christie Witless

As everyone who follows this blog knows, I feel that Chris Christie is a liberal republican, who is being controlled by the state republican committee.  Christie has zero experience in running anything on the scale of the government of New Jersey.  He has not proposed a clean and simple platform, but has only reiterated talking points given to him by the leaders of the state committee.  Currently, he is being endorsed by RINO’s and state party lackeys who have placed ambition in front of principles.

Well, I am not the only one who thinks this way.  The only conservative columnist in the state of New Jersey in my opinion, Paul Mulshine thinks the same.  In a fantastic article, he compares the current Christie, with the last Christie we had, Christie Whitless.  Why not take a moment and read his opinion, I think you might find it very revealing!

The New School Bonds

Have you heard the latest radio ads for the   “The New Jersey Economic Development Authority, School Facilities Construction Program?”  These are the bonds that Governor Stupidhead and the other idiots in Trenton are issuing that will result in another $4 billion of debt.  But, before you run out to buy these bonds, you better read this first:

What is a New Jersey Appropriation-Backed Bond?
Appropriation-Backed bonds are issued by a New Jersey Independent Authority (for example, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority or the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund Authority).  Appropriation-Backed bonds are used for various projects including school construction, road construction, and facilities for individuals with special needs.  Appropriation-Backed bonds are secured by payments received by the Independent Authority from the State pursuant to a contract, lease or other agreement between the State and the Independent Authority in which the State agrees to make payments equal to the debt service and other costs relating to the bonds. However, such payments are subject to appropriation from time to time by the New Jersey State Legislature and the State Legislature has no legal obligation to make such appropriations. Appropriation-Backed bonds are not general obligations of the State.

What they are saying is that we the people of New Jersey do not have to pay them back!  Now considering how much debt we have incurred lately in this state, the prospect of actually defaulting could be pretty high.

For all of the idiots in Trenton, bankruptcy is not out of the question in this state, but until we can clean house and get our accounts back in order next November, just remember, “IT’S TAXES, STUPID!”

What are they teaching in math courses now?

Gary (triple dipping) Schaer, assemblyman for the 36th district and both mayor and councilman in Passaic has introduced A1943, a bill that would establish a pilot program fot the teaching of personal finance in high school.  This would be an “unfunded mandate” on all schools in the state in the end.  Now, teaching personal finance is a worthy objective, but my question is “What the hell are they teaching in math classes today?”  I remember many a class devoted to percentages, interest, compounding, etc.  Have the liberal teachers and administrators removed this from the curriculum?

High School was always the place that one was suppose to be prepared to enter the world.  What are we paying these teachers, principals, superintendents and others for if they are not delivering the minimum education for our children.  A basic understanding of money should have been part of the math program, not just at the high school level, but at all levels of the school system!  It is not something that should have to be “mandated” by a schmuck like Schaer!

All citizens in New Jersey are being taxed to death to provide school systems that only reward the administrators and teachers with outlandish salaries, pensions and benefits.  For this, we currently have a third world education system.  Wonder how I know this?  Just take a look at all of the graduates of this system who are in hock up to their necks in mortgages and loans that they cannot possibly repay!

To all the idiots who are running the schools in New Jersey who need a schmuck like Gary (triple dipper) Schaer to tell them the obvious, “IT’S TAXES, STUPID!”

VOTE FOR THE HERO, NOT THE ZERO!

It’s Abbott District Time Again!

Hi kids, guess what time it is again?  It’s Abbott District Time!  Yes, it time to rape the taxpayers of New Jersey again!

Remember how we had the story of the City of Passaic, and how double dipping representative Gary Schaer has gotten almost a quarter of a billion dollars for his city.  Well, let’s take a look at three other cities in New Jersey, Millville, Phillipsburg and Trenton.

The administrators of the Millville school system hoped to receive $43 million dollars to help renovate their overcrowded high school.  Guess what Jon “Santa Claus” Corzine and the rest of the clowns in Trenton are sending Millville?  Well, Millville is getting $164 million dollars!  Yes kids, Jon “Santa Claus” Corzine is giving Millville, with the help of his elf, State Senator Jeff Van Drew (D) four times the amount that Millville requested to upgrade their high school, to build a brand spanking new high school!  It sure is great to be Santa Claus when you can spend other people’s money.

Now, how about Phillipsburg?  First off, Phillipsburg has already received $12million dollars of state money for architect fees and site preparation (what did they do, design the Taj Mahal and gold plate the land?) when they ran out of money.  So this time the officials in charge of this project are really thinking this out and planning for the future.  By doing this, they have raised the calculated amount of money they need from $64million dollars in 2004 to $174 million dollars today!  Almost three times the amount of money they need to finish this project, and don’t forget, they have spent $12 million dollars already!  So the new high school in Phillipsburg will cost $186million dollars!

Finally, we have to visit Trenton, reluctantly but we must!  In 2004, plans to spend $123 million dollars for the renovation of the Trenton Central High School were developed.  Bids went out, but the project was canceled when only one contractor submitted a bid that was $23 million too high.  The rumor that he did not grease the right palm has not been proven, yet, but is still being investigated.  Now get this kids, the new Schools Development Authority (this replaced the “evil” Schools Construction Corporation)  has approved the proposal to spend $160 million dollars!  In other words, or figures, what would have cost $146 million dollars four years ago, will now cost an additional $14 million.  What a way to save our taxpayer money!

So let’s sum this up, three high schools, two new, one renovation, equals $510 million dollars!  Over a half a billion dollars!  But remember kids, they are watching out for our tax dollars!  Yes, they are watching our tax dollars going down the old toilet of political corruption, kickbacks and Christmas tree spending!

To all of the idiots in Trenton who are watching our tax dollars fly out the window, “IT’S TAXES STUPID!”

Another raping of taxpayers by an Abbott District and Corzine

Well kids, Newark has a new superintendent, Clifford Janey, and guess what, he is going to be the highest paid superintendent in New Jersey, with a yearly salary of $301,000.00!  To add injury to insult, this contract has been approved by the big idiot himself, Jon (do as I say, not as I do) Corzine.  Yes kids, the same Jon Corzine who promised to deal with the ridiculous contracts that these superintendents are receiving in this state.  but, let’s dive a little bit farther into this contract and who it is being given to, one Clifford Janey.

Janey is being cited as having an extensive resume, including being superintendent of schools in Rochester, NY and Washington, DC.  Let’s have a look at these assignments.

He was the superintendent of schools in Rochester, but what is really interesting is how he left, how about this for a left out fact:

“When Rochester let him go, he was given a $260,800 separation agreement (that’s nearly half the amount of the entire RCSD’s budget for one year!) & a commitment that keeps school board members from saying nasty, if truthful, things about his competence.”

He was let go in Rochester in 2002, and the school board had a gag order to prevent them from telling exactly how bad this guy was running their school system.  Wow, what a resume builder that is, but that is only the top of the iceberg.  Let’s look at Washington, DC:

“The bureaucrats in the District of Columbia have given Doctor Clifford Janey the boot from his post as Superintendent of the schools there, effective immediately.”

“They liked the job he did SO much, they’ve eliminated not only him but also the position of Superintendent!”

“His current contract with Washington, D.C. runs for another two years. At $274,000 plus a $25,000 bonus, this man Janey is one lucky guy. Sweet! (Yes, he’s getting a bonus for 2006-2007 while being fired!) ”

Janey was superintendent in Washington DC for a little less than three years, and he gets fired again!  Just more padding for the resume.  It seems that what this fellow does best is getting fired and collecting huge settlements.

So this is what Corzine and the other clowns in Trenton think we should be spending our Abbott District funds on; a person who is a failure in all of his professional endeavors, to lead the largest, failing school district in the state!   And is there any wonder why this state is on the brink of economic disaster?

To all of the idiots in Trenton, “IT’S TAXES STUPID!”

A Call To Arms!

I just got off a conference call made by Steve Lonegan of Americans for Prosperity.  Americans for Prosperity  will be filing a lawsuit to try and stop this “illegal” borrowing of money by Corzine and his cronies in Trenton.  They need our help.  There will be a rally on Monday, the 28th on the steps of the courthouse in Hackensack.  This rally will occur at 1:00PM.  We have to rally to this cause and show the idiots in Trenton that we will not take it anymore!  Please, try and make some time and join us.  We can make a difference and start to take this state back from the corrupt bums who are driving it to bankruptcy.

For all the idiots in Trenton, “WE ARE COMING FOR YOU”, and also “IT’S TAXES STUPID”!

It’s Abbott District Time Again!

I thought that any silly program that wastes taxpayer’s money should have it’s own song.  I hope you remember the the song for the Howdy Doddy Show, because here are some new lyrics:

“It’s Abbott District Time

We don’t want just a dime

We want Billions of Dollars

And hope no one hollers!”

Let’s discuss the big perks that Abbott districts shell out to administrators.  In my hometown, Garfield, the two top administrators are in line to collect $150,000 in unused sick days!  Where in the private sector can you find this deal?  Maybe, instead of stem cell research, we should be drawing their blood and discover the wonder gene that gives them the ability to never get sick.  Of course the school district can’t afford copy paper to print out items for students, but to hell with them as long as the management is taken care of!

How about West New York, and the superintendent who makes $231,000 and his underlings will retire with buybacks exceeding $50,000 each, this is in addition to their pensions.  Want more, how about the Jersey City superintendent who just signed a contract in which he gets paid, $250,000 per year, and he gets to cash out 500 sick days for $85,000.  Now he has been there for 40 years, so this means he was getting 12.5 days per year, works only 9 months out of the year, and never gets sick.  Wow, superman lives in Jersey City.

Who said that you have to follow the money to get rich, just be a school superintendent.  You will make over a quarter of a million dollars a year in Newark and Jersey City.  And don’t worry about performance, since these districts are at the bottom of the pile, it is obvious that performance is not a requirement.

The best part of all of this, is that at least one-third of the school districts have failed to post salary and perk information on their websites, even though a law passed last year requires it.  Has anyone been called to account for this disregard for the law?  Of course not!  But, how hard could this be to accomplish?  The budgets have to be done in a computer word program, why can’t the file just be uploaded?

The legislature assures us that new “safeguards” are in place to make sure that the money given to Abbott District Schools will be spent properly.  But who has put into place the “safeguards” to protect us from them?

To all the idiots in Trenton and in the Abbott Districts, “IT’S TAXES STUPID”!

It’s Abbott District Time Again

As promised, here is a continuation of the Abbott District spending of the 4 billion dollars that the state of New Jersey has borrowed, without voter approval.  Tonight we will look at the City of Passaic.

Some of you might know, that Passaic has had a spate of recent “events” for the lack of another word.  It’s mayor Samuel Rivera has resigned, after pleading guilty to accepting bribes (like that is new in Passaic County) and faces 18 to 24 months in prison.  The city “a self-declared sanctuary city for illegal aliens” tells federal authorities to take a hike in trying to prevent illegal aliens from staying in the country.  An finally we have Gary Schaer, the double dipping politician who is both mayor (had been a councilman) and assemblyman for Passaic and praises the borrowing of 4 billion dollars without voter approval, because he believes it is the right thing to do.  When you hear the numbers, you would think the same thing.

Passaic is lined up to receive $213,967,126 for the building of four schools.  One middle school, one elementary school, one early childhood center and one “new” early childhood center.  Gary “double dipping” Schaer is bring almost a quarter of a billion dollars to the city he is mayor of.  This amount of money is almost 5% of the total amount that is being borrowed.  No wonder he is for borrowing this money.  He is winning, while the taxpayers are losing!  And who is going to benefit from these new schools, illegal aliens!  Yes, illegal aliens, and how do we know this, because you cannot ask them if they are here legally.

So folks, here is another example of your money being wasted.  Mad yet, I know I am!  More to follow over the coming weeks, so stay tuned.

To all the idiots in Trenton and Passaic, “IT’S TAXES STUPID”!
