Slightly to the Right in New Jersey

Conservative comments on New Jersey

Wow, what a plan from Governor Stupidhead Corzine!

It has always been said, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going”!  Nothing could be truer when it comes to the current financial situation in New Jersey, and the reaction of Governor Stupidhead to it.

The Governor’s solution to these problems does not include things like reining in the outrageous union contracts the state is forced to pay.  It does not include eliminating departments and programs that duplicate efforts that are already addressed by the national programs (ie. DEP vs. EPA).  No, Governor Stupidhead is taking the really tough course, he is putting on his knee pads, and will be asking for $4.3 billion from the Economic Stimulus Scam!  What a gutless wonder we have for a Governor!

Hey Governor Stupidhead, we are coming for you in November, so start packing up your knee pads, your Rolodex of socialist friends because we will be giving your walking papers.  Until then, you and the other idiots in Trenton should never forget, “IT’S TAXES, STUPID!”

Governor Stupidhead says we are saved!

Today it was reported that Governor Stupidhead or Governor Corzine to the dem-lite’s, says that New Jersey is close to $4 billion in stimulus money.  Wow, we can now just sit back, have another beer and our worries are over.  And if the stimulus money from the OH-GREAT Wizard of Obama is based on population, New Jersey might even get $6 billion.

What the hell is Governor Stupidhead trying to sell us here anyway?  This money is nothing but a loan that the United States has to assume.  This kind of fiscal planning is the same crap idea that has swollen the debt owed by New Jersey to $40 billion already and is growing larger by the minute since all of the projected income from the taxes that now make New Jersey the most taxed state in the country are not delivering what the idiots in Trenton thought it would!  And folks, no matter if the debt is owed by New Jersey or by the United States, do you know who really owes the debt?  Look in the mirror, because it is YOU!

Hey Governor Stupidhead, we can see right through what you and the great Obama are doing.  We will take care of one mistake this November and the other in four years, but until that time, just remember; “IT’S TAXES, STUPID!”

The Hudson River Railroad Tunnel

Thursday, it was announced that the federal government had approved giving $3 billion in federal funding to build the new Hudson River Railroad Tunnel.  Here is the link to the full story as reported in the Star Ledger:

http://www.nj.com/starledger/stories/index.ssf?/base/news-12/1231997169199520.xml&coll=1

It took me awhile to think about this, since some of the claims made did not make any sense, in light of the information that I had posted a few days ago.  At that time, the claim was made that 4,000 jobs would be created for the $8.7 billion that would be spent on this Choo-Choo tunnel.  If you did the math, each job would be created for $2,175,000.00 per job, or $310,000.00 per year over the seven year period estimated that the construction would take. Now, the claim is made that this project will create 40,000 to 50,000 jobs!  Well, lets do the math again.  If we can get 50,000 jobs, that would be $174,000.00 per job, or $24,857.00 per year of the project.  Now, that sounds great except for the fact that no construction worker in New Jersey would do the job for about 25 thousand a year.  so it seems that the 40,000 to 50,000 is just not a real figure on job creation.  Also, think about this, 50,000 is about the same amount of people who would fill Giants stadium.  Where are all of these people going to be working around this tunnel?

Another selling point being used to justify this project is the premise that 22,000 cars will be removed from the road because the drivers (and passengers) will start taking the train to work in New York City and spend their money there.  Well, if we divide 22,000 into $8.7 billion it will cost $395,455.00 per car to remove them from the roads leading to New York City.  That does not seem to be a good investment to me!  If this number is right, lets do another calculation.  If each car has one driver and three passengers, that would be four new passengers for the Choo-Choo Tunnel.  This would be about $100,000.00 per passenger cost.  Now, if the average Choo-Choo train fare was $10.00 round trip, and each person used the train 250 times per year, it would take 40 years to just obtain the fares to pay for the tunnel alone!

Give me a break, this whole Choo-Choo train tunnel idea is just one large pork-barrel project to appease the union construction workers and pay for play construction companies!  Plus, the $8.7 billion is what they want to borrow for these projects.  It does not include the interest that will have to be paid for the bonds that will be needed to actually get their hands on the money needed for this project.  Why not keep the New Jersey money, about $3 billion, and spend it to make New Jersey a more favorable place for companies to locate and create jobs here?

To Governor Stupidhead, our lunatic Senators and all of the other idiots in Washington D.C. and Trenton, “IT’S TAXES, STUPID!”

A Billion

Sometimes after going through all of the spam, an email will really hit you, here is one example:

How many zeros in a billion???

This is too true to be funny…

The next time you hear a politician use the word ‘billion’ in a casual manner, think about whether you want the ‘politicians’ spending YOUR tax money.

A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of it’s releases.

A.

A billion seconds ago it was 1959.

B.

A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.

C.

A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.

D.
A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.

E.

A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes,
at the rate our government is spending it.

While this thought is still fresh in our brain…
let’s take a look at New Orleans ….

It’s amazing what you can learn with some simple division.

Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu (D)
is presently asking Congress for 250 BILLION DOLLARS
to rebuild New Orleans .. Interesting number…
what does it mean?

A.
Well… if you are one of the 484,674 residents of New Orleans
(every man, woman, and child) you each get $516,528.

B.
Or… if you have one of the 188,251 homes in
New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.

C.
Or… if you are a family of four…your family gets $2,066,012.

Imagine, $700 billion bailing out banks in the US.

That’s enough to fund complete medical care for every man, woman and child currently alive in the US for 11 years!!
50 billion to bail out the auto industry???   Washington , D.C. & Ottawa ON.

HELLO!!! >
Are all our calculators broken??

And I still have to press ‘1’  for English.

I hope this goes around the US & CANADA at least 1 billion times

What the heck happened???

Numbers just don’t add up!

Last Sunday in the opinion section of the Bergen Record, this article was published describing the “future” of the Meadowlands:

http://www.northjersey.com/opinion/moreviews/A_new_day_in_the_Meadowlands.html

Since this opinion was written by Robert Ceberio, who is the executive director of the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission, I would expect it to be very bias, but I could not believe how stupid it could be.  One statement in fact really stands out, Robert wrote the following:

“By 2028, the 14-town Meadowlands District will be generating, just from renewable energy sources, 30 or 40 megawatts of power. You’ll drive down the turnpike between exits 15W and 16W, and the solar panels and the wind turbines will have become such a part of life that you won’t even notice them.”

Wow, 30 to 40 megawatts of power, that’s is, wait that is nothing!  Just to give you an idea how that amount of power is so irrelevant, just across the river from the Meadowlands, in Jersey City is the Hudson Generating plant of PSEG.  This plant has two boilers, capable of producing 991 megawatts of power, which use both coal and oil.  This is 25 times the amount that Robert describes producing 20 years from now.  Of course, in 20 years we will have more people living here, unless everyone has moved out because of excessive taxes, who will need more and more electricity in order to maintain their lifestyle.  Now you should also know, even though we have generating plants like Hudson, Bergen, Mercer, etc.  this area still has to import power from outside the area.   This isthe reason that PSEG is going to have to build new transmission lines and why there is an ongoing outcry on where they should be built.

30 or 40 megawatts of power will not even help us to keep up with the increase in power demand in New Jersey.  We will have to build new generating facilities in this area that use conventional fuel sources that produce power when we need it.  If we hope to have a robust and viable economy in the future, New Jersey must not be lead by irrational nutcases, but by enlightened leaders who will have the internal fortitude to see that our basic energy needs are covered for the coming decades.

To Governor Stupidhead and the other nutcases in Trenton, start preparing for the exodus in November, but until then, “IT’S TAXES, STUPID!”

Australia experts rethinking CO2 regulations

I posted about the costs of Governor Stupidhead’s greenhouse gas regulation dream.  Well kids, Australia, which already has CO2 limitations in place is now realizing how stupid it is.  Check this link for ICSC advisor Robert M. Carter, PhD, Professor, Marine Geophysical Laboratory, James Cook University, Townsville, Australia opinion on the subject:

http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,24820742-7583,00.html

Maybe it is about time we listened to people like this, instead of the idiots that infest Trenton and Washington D.C.

To Governor Stupidhead and all of the idiots in Trenton, the only controllable source of hot air are you idiots!  We are coming to shut you up in November, but until then, IT’S TAXES, STUPID!”

Lonegan for Governor, part deux.

A few days ago I came out with my support for Steve Lonegan for governor of the once great state of New Jersey.  I believe that his history of conservative governmental management proves that he is the one person who can and would change how Trenton runs.  Unfortunately, he cannot do it alone, and the present republicans in Trenton are as useful as teats on a bull.

Steve must, if he hopes to succeed in November, run a full slate of candidates for all 80 assembly seats that are up for election.  The Republican party in New Jersey must be redirected away from the present course that the “Old Farts” in control have been steering.  Their platform of cooperation with the socialist-communists of the Democratic party has resulted in the Republicans being nothing more than “Dem-Lites.”

For all the idiots in Trenton, the cleaning up starts in November, but until then just remember, “IT’S TAXES, STUPID!”

Getting rewarded for illegal activities

After 18 months and god knows how much money being spent, a Blue Ribbon Panel established by Governor Stupidhead will give it’s findings and recommendations regarding ILLEGAL ALIENS!  Now I have capitalized ILLEGAL ALIENS, because that is what they are, not “undocumented immigrants.”  Calling ILLEGAL ALIENS “undocumented immigrants”, is like calling a burglar an uninvited house guest.  It is stupid and shows the person using the expression to be an ignorant idiot.

Well, we will have to wait until Governor Stupidhead returns from Iraq, where I am sure the thought of fragging his sorry butt has crossed the minds of some of our brave citizen/solders who are protecting us all from the scum Islamic terrorists that infest the world.  Alas though, some of the recommendations that the panel will suggest be implemented have been leaked to the public, and it is enough to make one explode in anger.  Let’s take a look at a few of them.

How about a “Driving Privilege Card”?  Under New Jersey law, ILLEGAL ALIENS are forbidden from obtaining driving licenses.  The logic behind this is that an ILLEGAL ALIEN could not drive a car legally in New Jersey.  No kidding Sherlock!  Why do we have laws, if we are not going to enforce them?  Of course, these liberal bozo’s could just call any ILLEGAL ALIENS who are pulled over by the police and cannot produce a driver’s license “UNDOCUMENTED DRIVERS!”

Hey, think that is good, how about these idea, let’s give all ILLEGAL ALIENS the ability to go to any state college or university and only have to pay the in-state tuition rate!  Yes, these liberal bozos have come up with yet another way to waste our tax money.  Can you imagine this, a student who is a legal citizen of the United States from any other state would have to pay “out of state tuition”, but any person who just entered this country ILLEGALLY gets rewarded by being allowed to pay in-state tuition!

Considering all of the budget problems we have in this state now, why are we spending money even discussing this nonsense?  Is this what we expect from our elected officials, new ways to send us to the poor house, by giving benefits to people who are here illegally?  I think not, and you should too!

To all of the clowns on the “Blue Ribbon Panel on Immigrant Policy”, we will be taking urine samples for drug testing.  For all of the idiots in Trenton, the LEGAL citizens of this are coming to replace you in November, but until then, IT’S TAXES, STUPID!”

What a waste of time!

Tonight I went to the “Constituent Services Evening” that was being held by Assemblymen Gary Schaer, Fred Scalera and State Senator Paul Sarlo.  Well first things first, only Gary Schaer showed up.  I guess Fred and Paul had to think up new ways to tax and spend us some more.  Further, and this really pisses me off, only 2 other citizens showed up to confront Schaer on the real issues, mainly a state budget that is still loaded with fat!

After listening to Gary ramble on for 45 minutes about free services that he can arrange through his office (like anything is free from the government) he opened the table for questions.  Of course I was the first out of the gate with the question of how it is legal for them to borrow 3.9 billion dollarswithout the approval of the voters!  His answer was that he and the other “elected officials” in Trenton felt that the Supreme Court would order them to spend the money.  When I questioned why not “let the voters decide in November”?  He went on to tell a story about his wife buying sardines at Shop Rite and Costco.  He then decided he had enough debating with me and closed the meeting.  Of course this was after I wanted to discuss things like dual office holding, family leave, part time work full time pensions, etc. etc. etc.  What a jerk!

For Gary (double dipper) Schaer, and no shows Fred Scalera and Paul (triple dipper) Sarlo, “IT’S TAXES, STUPID”!
